• Storage and handling

Have harm to the environment, the product should be stored in a cool, dry and drafty storeroom, must be far away from fire and packing tightly. It is pungent, so avoid the product and its water solution in contact with eyes and skin, it contact with skin will cause dermatitis, take in will cause pharyngitis, stomachache and leg weakness etc. Operation airtighty,exhaust in part. Prevent dust to workshop. Workers must wear a self-priming filter dust mask, wear chemical safety protective glasses, wear gas permeability overalls and wear rubber gloves. Use explosion-proof systems and equipment to avoid producing dust. Equip with relevant kinds emergency handing equipment.

• First aid measures

Eye contact: In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice.

Skin contact: Wash with water. Remove contaminated clothing, which should be washed before re-use.

Ingestion: Rinse the mouth with water. Obtain medical attention.

Cobalt acetate is flammable with high temperature or fire, its powder can form explosive mixture with air.

Cobalt acetate can be used as liquid phase catalyst,e.g. The preparation of phthalic acid, also can used in desiccating agent, paint or varnish of desiccant.Aluminum surface treatment agent, ceramic color ingredient, foam stabilizer of malt beverage, composition of metal complex and other agent, catalyst.
