• Storage and handling

Ammonium acetate should be stored in its original packing or in a suitable sealed container and kept in a clean and dry place. Under normal conditions of use of ammonium acetate does not present any undue hazard. Precautions must be taken to prevent entry into the solid or liquid product to contact with skin or eyes.

• First aid measures

Eye contact: In the event of eye contact occurring immediately irrigate with copious quantities of clean water, holding the eye open if necessary. Obtain medical attention.

Skin contact: Wash with water. Remove contaminated clothing, which should be washed before re-use.

Ingestion: Rinse the mouth with water. Obtain medical attention.

Ammonium acetate solution presents no fire hazard, it will decompose into acetic acid and ammonia with heat.

• Application

Ammonium acetate is widely used in the fuel, the textile industry, can be used to improve the standard of fabric. It is often mixed with acid or other salts in the fuel, ammonium acetate can also be used in the manufacture of medicinal products, antibiotics and other and metal surface treatment, it can also be used for other large amount of organic reactions (for example, production of foam rubber), production of vinyl plastic, detergent and manufacturing industry.

• Physiological properties
